Ride a small RIB from Bakkagerði past puffin cliffs, seals, seabirds, and possible whales on a lively one-hour East Iceland safari.

“This Puffin Zodiac Tour was AMAZING! Our guides were extremely kinda, funny, and knowledgeable about Bakkageri and the Borgarfjörður eystri area (their parents grew up there!) After taking an exciting zodiac ride to the cliffs on the sea to view many species of nesting birds, we took a ride along the harbor to see seals and a waterfall. We even had BONUS whale watching time to view a large humpback whale breaching MULTIPLE times!! We got up close and personal and it was incredible. This tour is a must.”

Our guide Kjartan did a great job so we got to know many interestimg things about iceland. He was very friendly, patient (especially with the moods of our three-years-old child), funny and flexible. His english was fine. Due to him we can take wonderful memories with us. Thank you! We recommend this trip to everybody! The only negative point ist the price. ;-)Read more”

“The drive to the Canyon was incredible with a couple of extra stops on the way back. The view of the Canyon is accessed by around 100 metal stairs with a few 'resting' platforms on the way! You are not able to walk into the Canyon on this trip - but its still well worth a visit! We had a friendly local and knowledgeable guide. Definitely recommend this!”

“Ceci n’est pas une « Ice cave » mais juste un trou dans le glacier. J’étais très déçu à cause des photos publiées par des organisateurs différents comme Ice explorer. Ces organisateurs sont plus cher mais au moins vous payez pour voir quelque chose de plus beau. Ou bien vous avez les moyens de payer plus cher, ou bien vous continuez votre route.”

“We had perfect weather and enjoyed the trip uo to the glacier. We ended up as a private tour as we were only ones who booked. Guide was nice and friendly and answered all our questions. We took lots of pictures and didnt feel rushed. The vehicle was a smaller one that was new and comfortable. It was fairly warm at the glacier in the sun but we are from a cold climate. Waterproof boots are a must if you want to walk in the snow on the glacier.”

“This was a fantastic tour. A small group (in our case, only 4 people), with a brilliant guide who shared a lot of information and history of the area and the glacier, and talked us through how the caves are formed, the different colours etc. She was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the subject.”
