“The boat was comfortable and warm inside. We were incredibly lucky and found 2 humpback whales within 30 mins. One of the whales breached at least 15 times (we lost count). Our guide said this was very unusual for winter. Great experience, plenty of space to get a view. Guide was very approachable and had a good chat.”

Review of Reykjavik’s 3-hour whale and dolphin yacht cruise, with boat comfort, wildlife chances, price, weather tips, and honest drawbacks.

“We had such a great experience as a family (2 adults, 2 children). We have been wanting to see whales for a long time and finally got to tick them off the bucket list. So pleased we got to see a few groups of Humpback whales - amazing! I would definitely recommend this trip to others, the crew were great at tracking them and communicating with all on board. We didn't use the warm areas or bars onboard, but it was good to know that facilities were available if we needed to use them. We were too engrossed with taking the experience in on the top deck! 🐋❤️”

★★★★★★★★★★4.0 · 428 reviews · 2 hours (approx.) · from $94

Review of Reykjavik’s Northern Lights Yacht Cruise, with practical advice on price, boat comfort, aurora chances, wildlife, weather, and rebooking.

“This tour was well-organised and I would recommend it. We did see the Northern Lights but they were quite faint and not really visible with the naked eye so the tour company offered everyone a trip on another day which we thought was a nice touch. We didn't take them on their offer as (i) we did see the lights and (ii) not really fair on them as they can't control a natural phenomenon. We sat on the top deck and yes it was freezing so do wear your thermals! Below deck it was warm and there was a bar.”

Review of Reykjavik’s Northern Lights Yacht Cruise, with yacht comfort, route, aurora odds, price, group size, and practical booking advice.

“After the weather calling off this on our first day and the forecast being pretty iffy for the rest our stay, we weren't optimistic that we'd actually get to see the Northern Lights. However, the trip went ahead one evening and the guide said he thought we might be lucky. After an hour on the boat we started the think the vague hint of green might be as good as it was getting and the boat began to turn for home. Suddenly the boat stopped turning and we were told to go to the front and we had a great showing! Really appreciated the crew holding on for us to…”
