Explore Iceland’s Hellisheiði geothermal plant with an audio tour, interactive exhibits, Carbfix displays, mountain views, and flexible timing.

“The Hellishedi Geothermal Exhibition was well worth the trip to get there and the entry fee. For those ignorant of the process (the vast majority, I expect) to extract thermal power and hot water from the earth, go straight to Exhibit Stop 9, Production Process, and spend sufficient time there to learn how the industrial process works and to fully appreciate the research, engineering, and money needed to succeed. “Loved the stories while traveling the Golden Circle. Learned about history, geology and folklore. Narrator was very good. A few snags when the app stopped and it had to be restarted, hence the 4 stars instead of 5 stars. Definitely worth it”

Review of Reykjavik’s $19.99 self-guided audio walk, covering landmarks, offline maps, route details, value, and practical tips.

“Easy to use app. It was very neat how all you needed to do was walk with it running for the stories to play, or simply go to the "learn more" at a highlighted spot. I also liked that there were transcripts of the audio, and the clear audio directions and map. The stories were interesting, and the narration engaging. It was very informative and added a lot of missing context to my understanding of Reykjavik.”

“The tour was spot on with locations. Worked flawlessly! Commentary was interesting, curent and insightful. The route was easy to navigate. Tour is very doable in just over three hours. However, I could easily spend up to 6 hours with several of the side trips. FYI: Only one restroom (WC) towards the last stop.”
